Refunds and Cancellations Policy



To secure registration, all fees must be paid no later than 7 business days prior to the scheduled event. Any unpaid registrations after such time will be cancelled, and individuals will be required to register on-site with payment provided immediately to attend the event. If a written cancellation request is not received by 7 or more business days prior to the event, the registrant will be liable for the entirety of the registration fee, regardless of attendance or absence from the scheduled event.


All cancellation requests must be made in writing. An 85% refund will be granted when the cancellation request is received 15 business days prior to the scheduled event. A 50% refund will be granted if the request is received between 10 and 7 business days prior to the scheduled event. No refunds will be granted if the request is received with fewer than 7 days prior to the scheduled event.


Any cancellation request received fewer than 10 business days prior to a scheduled event (or after the event date has passed) due to an extenuating circumstance may be reviewed by the respective Committee Chair(s) who in turn will recommend the appropriate refund and action to the Board of Directors. Extenuating circumstances can be (but not limited to) death in the family, documented positive COVID-19 test etc.


If the event is cancelled by International Ferro Alloys Conference (IFAC), registrants may be extended a full refund (100%).


If the conference is cancelled/postponed as a result of any Government notification, either from the State of Goa or Central Government, then we shall reschedule the conference, where the delegate’s fees would be adjusted.


If the delegate cannot reach the conference, due to being COVID positive or reaches the conference but shows a positive covid report, we shall not permit the delegate in the conference area, and, in this case 10% of the entire delegate fees would be deducted.


If the delegate has booked a room, no refund is possible on the charges against the accommodation.
